Awareness and Advocacy For Kentucky’s Economic Future
Exploring data, policy, communities, and businesses to understand and strengthen Kentucky
Four Pillars of Colin Horn For KY
Data
We will take a broad and data-centered approach as we discover more about the economic wellbeing of Kentucky. Regardless of how things feel, we will remain committed to the facts. These facts will come from a variety of trusted sources and will be observed over time to gain a wide perspective. These statistics will cover a variety of topics, like unemployment rate, population growth, and median wages.
Policy
We will deep dive into the state and federal policies that affect our great state’s economy and well-being. This will allow us to stay connected to what happens from within the capitol walls and see what action steps are being taken to help our communities thrive. It can be easy to become disconnected from the actual policies, but this blog will help eliminate the distance between our advocates and the general population.
Community
After we take a broad approach on the economy of Kentucky, we will zoom in on individual counties and communities. Although data and statistics are critical to analyzing strategies for growth, we will remain committed to a people-first approach as well. Through interviews and travel, we will explore first-hand what it is like to live as a Kentuckian. With 120 counties, there are years and miles ahead to explore.
Business
In order to support Kentucky entrepreneurs and business owners, part of this site’s content will be dedicated to business advice and practical help for those who are self-employed or employers themselves. We commend these people for the role they play in communities and the lives of their employees. We will explore how they are impacted by the overall economy and vice versa.
